i just read that part about the skyway, sounds interresting, have to check it out sometime while we are there...ill read the rest tomorrow in class...haha. see i have my priorities..riding then school...lol

I think I am looking forward to that stretch more-so than the Dragon... just cuz it's a longer ride.At any rate, I found all the info I have needed at www.tailofthedragon.comand www.dealsgap.com. There's a bunch of stuff on the Skyway there as well - just gotta look around.

Be sure and send a message back around before you go. Thats around my birthday and I would like to come meet you guys. Jon boy and I live close to the dragon I live in Knoxville so it takes about 30 or 45 min to get to the dragon. Maybe if you want to come off the mt. I can show you some spots in Knoxville.

While the dragon and the cherohola skyway are great, your missing half the experience. When you pull out of two wheels, go left up to the gas station and take right (you can see it from T.W.O.). Go right at that gas station. It will take you up route 180 (blood mountain). If you also have a day to just travel, go check the roads out in North GA like in the delonnagah (spelling) area. The dragon is awesome, and so is the skyway, but check out them other roads.... 73 east or west, and a couple others that I can't remember. Best time for the gap is a monday or tuesday a.m. At night it's just as awesome, talk about giving your self a thrill....wooohooooo..
Have fun people that are going. I'll be there sometime between 5/11 and 5/21. My brother just bought a house in the North GA mountains. The gap is definitely a late apex road because of the god damn 18 wheelers. Hug them inside lines on them right handers. Let the buckwheat hit ya in the shoulders on some of them roads, like the one right before the damn as you go up to the dragon. hahahaha. Wooohoooo.

ILL makes a good point but like he said, it is a DAY spent if you want to see Blood Mountain and all the other goodies down 129
FYI-Blood Mountain can be accessed by just staying on 129South....it's on 129South
