Damn..for $70 an hour I'd say anything was a good job.

I took a drafting class in high school with Auto Cad. Its an amazing program.

senior in manufacturing...we've done a lot of mastercam, autocad, and inventor. for 3d I like inventor the best but mastercam is cool as fuk. same program the guys at OCC use to cnc stuff.

lol.. thats awesome.. and true.... I worked in R&D designing test fixtures for an automotive supplier.. its amazing how true it is....

there are some bad things about contract jobs though. the money is good, but likey no benifits at all, you will work a crap load of hours all week, and there is no security. Its very hard to plan anything on a job that they be done with you the next day.. and you won't know it until that day comes..

Most designers can expect to make from 50-80 grand a year in a stable job with benifits. Of course, that range is coming down all the time just like every other job out there. but for someone just getting out of school, 50 grand a year is a very realistic figure.
