Woody... funny you should post this... truely my daily delema. I want to go fast(er) daily. I have been blessed w/ a 17+ mile dragon back lake lined 1000ft+.coulee (canyon), that entro's another wounderfull run, that has Grand coulee dam, as a destinatiom. about 60+ mi., one way. all lake lined, 1000ft.+ cliff walls. the road is in perfect shape.
I'm 48, divorced(a blessing,I did not ask for...) w/ a 94cbr1000f, 82 gs1100, 75 850gts rh shift duc, 72 gt 550 triple zook, cafed w/ expansion chambers ect., and a bunch of other, in progress. My problem... I cant(sometimes) help it... IT'S ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That first 17mi, turns into one big entry and exit line, between 85- 115+ ....
I know it is going to catch up w/ me... and other than slow down(I'm trying), I'm thinking about selling some stuff, to get a cbr1000rr, to be able to go fast(er) safer, by virtue of better suspension, handling, lighter wieght, tire choice and aftermarket upgrades later.
The truth is... I finally have some maturity, at 48, to even think about the insanity of going, so fast(for me, and equip.), and it scares the hell outa me... "hi, I'm Ripp'n, and I'm an addict...) I've read kieth Codes stuff(and all I can,)and can see, it is abit more to race, than I can or want to commit to... I was even looking up bike fatalitys, to help me put this into proper prospective...
Woody, your right... but I think for so many of use, the street, is where were at... insanity intact.

side note... kieth code was a active herion addict for years, and designed and built many of Elton John's wildest shoes... go figure !!!!!!!!!!!
