If I get a ticket on my bike, can my car rates go up?
I have Progressive insuring my bike, and American Family insuring my car. Can AF raise the rates on my car when I was ticked on my bike, which they do not insure?

Bike and car insurance are two different things

Of course they can. Bike and car insurance may be different, but your record is the same no matter what you're driving.

Werd, i am pretty sure both places will come across that ticket, they may not charge ya for it, but they will see it.

Did you get it out of state? If so that's your only hope, somestates don't have reciprocity. If you got it instate? Ya it's going on your record in the MVA files and your insurance has access to it.

I would have to assume the same that they could if they reviewed your policy and noticed you had a new ticket. That would really be best asking your company to make sure though.

Negative! Do not ask your insurance company, just don't say anything. What they don't know won't hurt them.

Most insurance companies don't look at your record unless they're renewing your policy
