The DDC (active electronic suspension) is just too tempting. I was at Revzilla picking up a tank bag and the salesguy had seen it in action. He's a serious track rider who has spent several thousand dollars on his suspension on his track bike. And his feedback was that it was comparable to all the work he'd done on his track bike.

Plus my payments only go up an extra $60 / month. That' not even giving up 1 night at the titty bar I had been ACTIVELY avoiding calling my dealer since the HP4's introduction. Even ignoring a minor rattle from the steering lock, which is a warranty item. I KNEW this would happen

Now... what to call her

Hmm... Maybe not "Amara". But Mara is striking a chord.... I've got a month to decide. Yet again, however, I'll prolly take delivery on a completely assed day to truly enjoy the ride home. Maybe even opting for door to door delivery again.

Gonna be a long month. Especially with Yolie staying firmly on her stands till deal day

Comes stock with the Akropovich full exhaust, traction control, abs and obviously the dynamic damping control. Debating whether to tell the dealer to add heated grips when I give my deposit on monday.

Only one thing bugs me. I know for a fact I'm too light for the suspension on any standard s1k. They need to be resprung for my weight. Same thing for the springs on the HP4. But nobody seems to know how the ddc will react to a rider that's too light for the suspension. Not even the dealer. I might be able to get the sag set right, like it is on Yolie. But it's just barely right and the damping / compression is set to all 1s & 2s to keep her from beating me to death on the street.

i wouldn't worry too much about that kuro, on some of the track tests, riders like eboz were riding it - and they're not exactly "tubby". i for one certainly don't understand quite how that all the electronic adjustments will work, but i'm sure you'll be able to find some help. i'm positive they didn't develop that whole system for just one core group of riders' body weights.

damn i wish i had the problem of being too light for my bike!

Thats the problem Conrice: nobody seems to understand how it works. Some guys who have already gotten one haven't even set it up yet.
