I hate it when people say that bikes are dangerous and that people who ride them will die on them because that is simply untrue. If you are a careful, alert and a defensive rider you shouldn't die on it. Yes there are idiots out there and that **** happens but if you know that it early in the season and that salt/sand are still on the roads then take it very easy. People die from falling ice off buildings, car accidents, lung cancer and they didn't smoke a day in their life, heart attacks and they exercised and ate healthy. I guess what I am trying to say is that people die every day from random **** things that are considered not dangerous. Riding a bike can be if you are stupid on it. Always pay attention to your surroundings. Try to anticipate and others are going to do and give yourself an out. I know I sound like a MSF instructor here but what they preach will save your skin and your life. Rant over.
Oh and Stevus glad your still here and hopefully not hurt to bad. Heal up quick!

everyone dies, not everyone lives....
sometimes when i start to think i could die on a bike, i tell myself i could just as easily die driving the car or walking down the street, and i'm not going to just stay in my house, there's no reason for me to give up what i love doing
but i've never thought that i would die on a bike when i've been riding though... that thought goes right out the window when the starter is thumbed, too much else to think about and enjoy while actually riding.
stevus, glad you made it man, hows the bike? get back up on 2 wheels quick
