Looking for something I feel comfortable on, really like the R-6 and the 600RR is a great all around bulge just not what I'm looking for to ride on the track.

What??? Not trying to disagree with you LJ, but I disagree with your statement... Now don't get me wrong because I'm contemplating getting an R6 as a track bike too that's if I can't find a RR I like. That being said, the power curve of the RR is more mid-range and the R6 has it's power curve toward the top. Now I know some people are thinking, "uh yeah, that's why he wants it for the track." but the track isn't all redline all the time ya know? Need that extra chit and git coming out of the corners and that's why I think the RR is better out of the gate, you won't have to adjust and tune that curve. Oh BTW, 2007 maroon R6r FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

Russel have you ever tracked a bike? I life my life on the track between 9000 and 12000 rpms. The 900rr has never been tracked. I have rode many diffrent bikes out at RFR. The R6 is the most comfortable bike I have been on for the track...... have I rode one on the street well no.. and granted it may not be the most comfortable street machine I plan to mainly ride the track.

And nothing is wrong with it. Its a streetfighter and has a lot of work done to it. Its priced to move id like to start putting money away for a new track bike.

The rumor is that the R6 peak power is between 13000 and 13750 but I don't know because I have not taken the R6 around a track... I'm not trying to dog your opinion or taste, like I said in my previous post I'm contemplating and R6 track bike for myself. As they say to each their own blah blah blah but the R6 is a nice ride, if you don't want a Honda the Yamaha is the next best thing IMO
just my $0.02

Edit: Oh, almost forgot '91 F2 been on the track

Okay at least you have been on a track and know what your talking about. Wasn't questioning you.but I know a few people that say a 1000 is better to track and easier. Obviously they have never been on the track so.I had to ask. Im not ******* your opinion in anyway. A lot of people track r6's which on the good side of things ton of parts and for cheep.
