World in Conflict

 

old friend of mine who lives in san fran now came into town to visit last night. after i got out of work, i met up with him and a bunch of my other friends. we were in downton columbus, and there was a TON of *** everywhere.

i only stayed out for like 2 hours. i had to get home and go to bed because i have a lot of things that i need to do today.

instead of going to bed, I played WOW

PLEASE HELP ME!!

 

LOL you better quit now before you get higher levels and the game gets real fun. you will eventually quit posting here cause it takes away from your WOW time !!!

 

Really, it's a great game. Sure, it's the devil, but only because it's so good! Think about it... very rarely anymore does a game draw in the MASSES like Blizzard's World of Warcraft, let alone keep a death-grip on them like it has. It's a serious cash-cow, but only because they did a great job all around on the game. It's the #1 mmo ever, and it alone has caused a large slump in the TOTAL game-buying market. That's nasty... but brilliant. I only quit because I had nobody to play with and I decided I was missing too much of my life sitting at my computer. I don't want to look back at my life and have huge gapping holes where everyone else had real-life stories, saying "Well, I totally had this great dual! I cast Frostbolt and it critted for like, 4K damage! Followed that up with a fireblast, frostnova then icelance and the dude was toast!".... then blank stares abound... *shivers* Yuck.

Believe it or not, this sad case of an ex-friend that I used to hang out with (before WoW) almost cancled his account a few times... then met this "girl" on there. After a while they started "dating", he started refering to her as his "girlfriend". This has gone on for about a year. Here's the real, sad facts. He's only, to date, recieved 2 pictures of this girl, and only of her face... and they were taken a "couple of years back". (AKA, she could look nothing like the pictures now, she might be dude, she could be 60, she could have just fished those pictures out from somewhere on the net). He's never met her in real life. This guy makes some pretty decent money, and he's offered to go see her before, fly down there. Every time she's "busy" doing something, usually with her "mom", and she tells him no. She's made, but cancled plans to come see him about 3-4 times now. I've heard her voice (chat program called Ventrillo) when I hopped on there to chat with another friend of mine. "Her" voice is kinda husky, but potentially Femanine... maybe. He has ditched all of his other friends to play the game with "her". Examples...

~ Invited all of my friends to LAN it up at my workplace for some hellgate london action. He declines, and says "You guys need to plan these things on a Tuesday, Thurday, or weekend afternoon so I can play." Uhh... No. We're real friends, we're not pausing our lives to accomodate your game-playing/fake-dating schedule.
~ Invited him along with a bunch of other people to come watch Beowulf together. He told me IN person that he wanted to go. While I was in the room another friend asked "You'd 'like to go', or you gonna be able to get away from your raid and really go with us?" He again responds, "Nah, it's cool. I'm not worried about the raid." Sweet... so he'll be there. The movie eventually starts, he's nowhere to be seen. His raid and his 'girlfriend' needed him to kill a boss in a dungeon, so he 'just couldn't make it'. Trading real life, for digital life. Trading something, for nothing.
~ We (all of my friends) can tell when the 'girl' is busy... because he'll randomly show up and wonder what's going on and want to hang out.
~ This 'hanging out' only lasts until she calls his phone. The SECOND his phone recieves a text message or a phonecall, he IMMEDIATELY drops conversasion mid sentence, sets down the controller, sets down his side of the furniture we're moving, whatever, and walks out of the room. Every time, no acceptions. We are all permenant "Plan B"
~ Actually refers to her as his "Girlfriend" in public. This is embarrassing to me, especially when I keep thinking "Dude! You've NEVER Fu$#ing even SEEN this person in real life!! WTF are you doing?!"
~ He has no problem ditching real people for "her" at any given moment. He doesn't show the slightest bit of concern, ever, for anyone but her.
~ He's not bothered by the fact that a friend of mine offered to GIVE him a web-cam he could send to her so he could at least see what she looked like in moving real-time. She declined.

*sigh* Ok... done r

 

Episode 2 has mutliple glitches that freeze the game from what I have read. I'm at the first one.


You want a torrent of COD4, well then get on piratebay and start downloading.

 

Just found an "epiloge" mission after beat COD4. Its called the Mile High Club. Its schweeet.

ive played the demo..its pretty awesome.

 

I Got two freinds who play it religously, I never understood why it was so addicting because you could run around for five hours and make no progress.

 

WoW is by far the most addicting game I've ever played in my life. #2 Counter-Strike.

I played WoW everyday when i got off work, when I didn't work, I breaked for bathroom, food, and the occasional shower. I played that game for just about 2 years and had no life. Worst game ever...
