RE: i finaly went down and the girl was w me
If it's too hot for gear, then it's too hot to ride.
I am in Atlanta and we get plenty of 95+ days with uber-high humidity. I still wear jeans, boots, gloves, jacket and helmet. Always.
Yeah, it can be miserable, but it's better than the alternative.
Also, sounds like you got a reality check. Entering a turn way too fast and with a passenger? You got off lucky.

RE: i finaly went down and the girl was w me
My first bike was a brand new 1981 KZ 750 and about week after I got my sister wanted a ride. Was doing about 80 mph hit those spacers they use on concrete highways and my front end shook violently and I thougt it was the end. After that all the way untill 2002 I never gave anyone a ride.My wife used to ride on my 954 me and her together on the drivers seat.Tight fit for sure. But my new 06 cbr 1000 cant fit together.I think it because I put on a few pounds. Now she is bitchen about me getting a bike she feels comfortable on she is talking HD.I think I am going to have to loose some weight so I can get her on that seat with me.I am 47 yrs old she is 51 I aint ready to retire to a HD.

I am glad to hear you both came out of this with only minor injuries. As for those who feel necessary to chastize you about not having on jackets, they should ease up. And the theroy that if its to hot for gear, its too hot to ride, isn't always true. It was 118 friday and saturday, and 115 on sunday, supposed to be only a cool 112 today, bikes sitting out front, helmet, jeans and boots on, jacket in the closet at home. Gear is a personal choice for the rider, and should always be made available to any pax you carry. I come from the old school of its better to sweat than bleed, but have learned that sometimes its better to risk bleeding than pass out.....I hope you and your ladies injuries heal and you both get back in the saddle again.....no i told you so's from me after a crash, we can all look back and say what we'd have done differently, kind of wasted thought though as you can't change what already has happened
