The Yamaha would blow you away in a straight line. It's rated at 145 hp the triumph rated a 108 hp you should take, and the buell would embarass himself with 86 hp. Go to www.bikez.com you can find the specs of almost every bike ever made there.

Yeah, don't underestimate older bikes. My 87 F1 is capable of keeping up with new 600 and 750s in the twistys.

It's more like 100 more pounds and with the power and torque the yami rider would have a bigger margin for error with his shifting. Because none of these guys are pro riders i think the yami would be the easiest for the average rider to win that race on. You have to think too that since the yami has some weight to it it would be less likely to get the front end off the ground which really slows you up. I once read a quote in cycle world magazine that kinda fits this. "Horsepower works in mysterious ways my brother"

i checked out bikez.com and the 1997 yzf thundersomthing is 145hp....his is a 94 i believe, and not a thunderace....i dont knwo if there is any difference anyway....but if it does have 145, i think he'd have me. the bike does definetly outweigh mine by alot, but still HP is HP.

on a side note, if it were a straight line, im confident i can outshift just about anyone i know.
