Hypothetical race.......
OK 3 other guys i work with have sport (ish) bikes and they all have me beat by displacement, but im wondering who would win in a race......
#1 me a 2006 Honda CBR F4i with 2Bros Racing Exhaust.
#2 a 1994 Yamaha YZF 1000 (not R1)
#3 a 1997 Triumph Speed Triple
#4 a 1994 Buell Thunderbolt
here are pics of similar bikes to there on google
the yamaha

the triumph

and the buell

just in checking the bikes over they all lok much heavier than mine, but the buell and the YZF look HUGE by comparision.

The hypothetical race has unanswered important variables;
1) Is this race straight, track or twisty
2) Whatever the case, the rider makes a huge difference regardless of the bike
3) They would spank you regardless of the bike.
(just fackin with you [X(])
Step 2: ???
Step 3: PROFIT!
I'm sure if you looked hard enough (I'm convinced google can find anything) you could find 1/4 times from each of these bikes. If not, look up the hp and torqe and weight of each bike to get some idea. I'm new to bikes, but 1994 really isn't that long ago. The older bikesare probably a lot heavier, buta 1000still's gotta have a lot of torque.
I think it would be an interesting race to watch but I think you will lose to the yami.
Even though its a 94 I still think it will win.
I mean my F2 is a 1991 and I have a few mods that allow me to walk my buddys (stock) 2002 F4i.
Just because its old doesn't mean its slow. Although my other friend has a 98 600 yzf (not r6) and that thing is slow as ***** compared to any F2, mods or not....
Just race 'em and then you won't have to wonder who would win.

out of the 3 really i think id be least worried about the yami it looks like it weights about 600 pounds literally. maybe ill look for some specs on it.
