that was a huge rock
so i was having a great day, we started the day with about 12 riders and the 4 that remanded ended up going up redwood road and than to pineridge, ino this means nothing to all of you but pineridge road is awful 180 degree turns, about 6 mph on some of them they are banked very hig, i **** you not the one i am going to discuss is nearly 45 degrees.... i was going a nice and slow 6 mph coming around this turn using some clucth control and bamn i baseball size piece of asphalt goes under the front tire shoots out almost hits the guy riding behind me and i have to put my foot down and i get to the edge of the road and now i am at the apex of this turn where it suddenly goes up a 45 degree angle so i am now at a complete stop and trying to hold my bike up, but my foot ended up off the road and the bike is leaning towards me so i had to set her down... than picked her back up, and than my battery died upon restart lol id type more in depth but i got to take off.. the rock/ ashplat piece was a lil smaller than a baseball and yes i chucked it off the road like one... hers what my tire looked like when i got home...
i had to push my bike up and down a section of the road like 3 times before me and my buddies could get her back to life... argh... o well. could have been worse, i couldve been going into the turn hot... and than i wouldve been in trouble. anyway hope ya'lls sunday rides went better than mine
I know the feeling, I hit a rock about the same size and it did a number on my front wheel, but luckily I didn't go down, I think my steering stabilizer saved my ***! Glad you're ok and things didn't turn out worse than they did.
