How effective is the chemical cocktail for hep c?
Last night one of my inmatestried taking his own life... slashed up with a razor blade. I found him in a pool of blood and had to administer first aid until the medical staff and ambulance arrived. He slashedboth wrists and neck and there was a lot of blood. Anyways he used to have hep c and had the chemcal cocktail that is supposed to cure it.
I was gloved up and didn't contact any blood directly but was curious to know if hep c was curable.Anybody know?

Not that I'm aware of. but if you were gloved I wouldn't be too worried. Go check yourself out but you should be fine.
Would you feel comfortable talking about where you work and what your salary is? Im currently working in a military jail and would be interested in seeing what kind of options I would have if I got out and crossed over to the civilian sector.
I am employed by my provincial government. We are members of a that negotiates our wages. Most people hire on initially as a casual employee and progress from there. Casuals start around $20 per hour. Once hired on as permanent staff you are given a yearly base salary based on experience and education. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times normal rate for first 3 hours then 2 after that. Training is paid at normal rates. Salary increases yearly in incerments until the max for the position is reached...then increases only at negotiated rate by the . I am currently in the mid fifties.
There is a treatment for Hep C that some physicians call a cure. It is successful in no virus being detected even after long-term (5+ years) followup, but the rate of "cure" is not 100%.
