holy backroads batman
so, being born and raised in central florida ive come accustomed to the flatter not so exciting roads. the most exciting riding ive done in florida is what my father and i do from time to time. we hit all the off ramps on I4 from orlando to daytona and back. well i now live in southeast ga. just as boring roads. well ive been in missouri for 2 1/2 weeks now about 100 miles south east of st louis. not far from lake of the ozarks. im here until mid september foran army leadership school. WOW the roads here friggin rock. huge elevation changes, decreasing radius turns, long banking sweepers. oh, did i mention how gorgeous it is here? sometimes i have to watch myself because ill get distracted by the mountains, cliffs, and creeks.
so i roll up on a local group of riders here in the area, and im instantly taken. im used to georgia's biking community which is primarily stretch, lowered, and chromed sportbikes. not here, several nicely equipped bikes, one of which is a 1098 duc. 3 guys in full leathers. im used to being able to outride most guys in my area in ga. once again, not here, we headed down the road and these guys can ride. i was having one heck of a time keeping up. id like to think of the reasons being because i dont know the roads, and im notused to the drastic elevation changes. a few decreasing radius turns took me slightly off guard but i came out otherwise unscathed. one awesome place to ride.

Yes...but the question is Robin....does he have a full set of leathers too? I've noticed the regional differences....up here in Northwest more of the traditonal street whip sportbikes..down south ..bunch of chromed out stretched armed busa's [:'(]...lots of zuk's in Texas...more Honda in the North East..etc. etc.

Yeah, so far San Diego hasn't been too great for scenic rides. But I think I will change my opinion next week when I go up to Palomar mt.

look at S7, and zoom in on it.
