RE: Help me decide which laptop
Go with the Dell fo sho!!
I have an XPS laptop, and its awsome! no problems at all. The only problem I ever had was I boke a botton on my keyboard. It was my fault, a cookie crumb fell in it, and I thought I could just pop the button back on, but I snapped it. I called them up, and they sent a guy the very next day out to my place to fix it. No questions asked no nothing. Great service!
Which reminds me, I would deffinitely suggest the warranty, incase stupid **** like that happens.

clockwork, I know my way around computers. DO NOT GO WITH DELL. The Asus is hands down more powerful in every aspect. Its cheaper. It has a 1 year ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE warranty. The DELL has a 3 year LIMITED warranty. You want to game on your laptop for the next 2 years? DELL WILL NOT HANDLE IT. The Dell's 8600GT is a crap card. Its already almost 2 year old technology. And I see you upgraded your CPU on the Dell which is worthless. I do not know how to stress to you to not buy the Dell. Do not listen to the majority of these people. They are WRONG.

Why not a MacBook Pro?
You setup BootCamp and have a dual boot machine to run Windows and Mac. Fire up the MacBook and select to boot Windows for your work's software, and then you have the Mac side for everything else. Technically it's 2 computers in one.......so there really isn't a reason not to choose the MacBook Pro if that's what you originally wanted in the first place.
And -100000000 for getting a Dell. We use them at work and go through them like water. They're garbage.
