Helmet law here is for persons 16 years of age, and also for people who have not had a motorcycle safety course.

I wear my helmet all the time. Feel naked without it.

How many have gone down on their bike? If you can answer this, you were probably wearing a helmet...

After crashing into a Taxi cab that pulled out in front of me and seeing the dent my Helmet put in the top window frame of the rear door, and landing on the hood of another that pulled in front of me, I will ALWAYS wear my big head no matter what! even on the hottest and slowest days of riding, F that!

100% of the time, no exceptions. no helmet law here, well, there are circumstances where you do have to wear one, but i dont fall under any of them. under 21 and < $10K med insurance requires helmet. wear your lid, everytime.

I live in Indiana and I go up to Michigan (about 2 mins from me) to ride on the rural roads. I like to ride there the most because my Dad will actually where his helmet there since it is by law. I have friends who say, "Just ride with a backwords hat and no jacket and enjoy the ride." I quickly respond with a your an idiot and one of my friends who said he would ride squid when he got his bike now always wears his helmet and has already gotten a jacket and gloves to add more protection. I also have a family friend who live on the VERY FIRST house into michigan and if yo watch the road people will stop in front of her house to take or put on their helmets. I always wear mine, you never know when someone else will be the cause of your demise.

Rockin' my Icon lid 24/7. Even when i'm in the stats that don't require it, i -always- wear it. No questions asked.

Here in Florida, we basically don't have to wear helmets. Threre are exceptions, but who cares. I always have and always will wear all my protective equipment including a helmet.

For those that don't want to, great, go for it. I say "Cull the herd"!

Maybe a point is that the majority of you can exercise your freedom of choice, and that is a very great privalige to have, in the UK we are forced to wear crash helmets, i would anyway, but i also believe in choice not compulsion, for those who interested there was also a man called Fred Hill who had numerous spells in prison for this belief and eventually died whilst serving his last sentence.

Well Iowa has no helmet laws. I wear mine at least 90% of the time because it makes me feel safer, and you never know how the weather will turn out. On the rare occasion that I don't wear my lid, I'm with buddies who ride cruisers and don't ride above the road.

No helmet laws here in Florida but the thought of driving even 300 yards to the local grocery without my lid has never crossed my mind. When he was 21, my step-dad died on the operating table and was resuscitated after being broad-sided by an old woman who skipped a stop sign and didn't see (wasn't looking for) him. He's still got the helmets he and his ex-wife were wearing at the time and kept the mangled Honda cruiser they were riding through my high school years to show us how serious the consequences are. He also still has the pace maker and scars from plates in his hand, foot, and arm. The helmet kept him in a condition to come back to life.

I'll echo the same feelings as others that my helmet, leathers, and gloves are my comfort zone and I wouldn't want to ride without them. For most people its only a matter of time before you go down and its often not your fault. Please, just wear a helmet.
