I've ridden without a helmet before. I love the feeling, but I'd rather have one on with a tinted windshield. It hides my face too from some annoying people I know better safe than sorry

I live in CA, strict helmet laws.

I've ridden around the block without one on, but I can't imagine ever riding more than just back and forth around the neighborhood helmetless. Just seems stupid to me.

I don't ride without the helmet. Prevention helps... In my opinion, you have to be completely out of your mind, not to wear one ..unless your skull is made out of steel.

I live about a half hour from Indiana and some guys I know ride down there and ride around with their helmets off. I don't get it. I can't even ride without my jacket and gloves on after I put my F3 down. Guys are always giving me crap about the jacket when it's 90. I just can't understand people.

I have to wear a lid (in Canada you do in every province I believe). However, I always wear leather gloves and an armored jacket as well. I have heard too many bad stories of people going down.

I live in KS, we dont have to wear helmets, but you wont catch me without one.

Ive seen guys go down with just jackets on, and the jackets ride up on them.

So, that being said, I actually ride everywhere(dont care how hot) in full race leathers, gloves, boots and helmet, call me crazy, but sweat washes off in the shower, rash in the shower SUCKS

When I 1st started riding I rode without a helmet, had an open face that I used on long trips with goggles (Ala Snoopy Vs Red Baron). Full face helmets where 10 years away. Riding without a helmet or with open face is good till you get gravel or bugs bouncing of your eyeballs & face or as happened to me, someone throws a ciggie butt out their car window & you collect that in your face, then when it rains it feels like needles on your eyes & skin. And that's not even taking into consideration coming off at slow 60kph (35 mph). We have helmet laws here, have had from the 70's (71?), but even so, I like my helmet, apart from being safer, also covers up Gods mistakes & makes me look like a big tough biker!!!!! (damn, broke a nail)
