i just upgraded my f4i from yes the stock H7 bulb to a 6000K HID kit from DDMTuning.com for 70 bucks shipped.
yes it is a very big difference and makes night time riding easier. and no i havent heard of anyone melting a harness unless the ballast has n overload and a fuse will pop before it gets f'd up.
