HBO: De La Hoya vs. Mayweather sets the record!
ORIGINAL: WhiteDealershipRice
Naw... De la Hoya is going to retire, Mayweather still has the revenue generating potential... Not saying that they didn't fight fair and square, just saying that the way it worked out is the best thing that could have happened to the Sport , in the marketing view of things.
I still think Mayweather is a punk. But the punk can fight. (actually he is a f**ing amazing fighter)
I'd actually cheer for him if he didn't have so much of an attitude problem.
But I can't bring myself to like someone with his attitude.

Yeah, that's why i prefer the lighter weight classes.
there is a certin beauty to a fighter that is immpossible to hit, because he "dances" just out of reach of his opponent, and then moves in at just the right time to land one or two devastating blows, just before slipping away from his opponents attack again and again...
As opposed to the heavyweight "slugfests" that attract the more casual observer. (it is immpressive to see the POWer some of those fighters can dish out, but seeing two men just stand in front of each other and just beat the crap out of each other get's old after a while)
