Had to give some bad news tonight
Because my job doesn't pay me jack $hit, I've been doing things on the side to raise enough money to make my school payments. Tonight I went over and looked at a bike that had been wrecked in the front. The guy wanted to fix it being how it was his first bike and all which I don't blame him. There were some pictures that were sent and it looked like the bike could be fixed. When I got my hands and eyes on it, I started seeing paint that was peeling from the metal being stressed. I pulled the tank off and found some major bends in the frame. I had to tell him that his bike was totaled
. It was almost like my bike was totaled too... it just sucked to break that kind of news. I tried to be on the up about it and told him that at least he can ride again because the bike took a really hard hit to the front.

Don't know, its kind of an emotional bond with bikes, when I picked myself up after my last stack, (mind you I only had a broken arm, concussion & gravel abrasions) or should I say was helped up, it wasn't till I saw by bike laying under the front of the car that had ran over me, that I felt like wailing.
I actually pushed it the 1/4 mile to a garage & started to assess the damage before I was dragged away to hospital.
That being said, I also know the feeling of waiting at the shop for a diagnosis on the possible terminal knock that your bikes engine has developed & if its curable.
If it happened to any of my cars that I've owned , then its just of matter of how much it was going to cost.
