Had a CRAZY tailgater (kinda long)...
So yesterday I was on the Interstate 15 here in San Diego on my way home from work in the carpool lane cruising at a modest 80mph when I notice a ugly *** car creeping on me. Of course I'm waiting for good moment to get out of this crazy guys way. Before I know it he's seriously within 8 feet of my back tire, I speed up a bit and try to wave the guy back. Of course this didn't work and it only seem to egg him on as he sped up and did the same thing running me off to the next lane. As he passes me he takes a little "jab step" swerving his car at me while staying in his lane (almost crapped my pants) Keep in mind I was cruising at 80mph. As he passed me he gives me the finger out the window, like I was trying to be an a-hole or something. I'm like WTF, oh HELL NO!!!!! I also happen to notice he was middle eastern rockin a full Osama beard in full Muslim attire (wearing an all white robe and some weird looking hat) and his wife was wearing all black with just her eyes showing (looking like a ninja). Im not the type of person to let this type of thing go, I could've been killed by some a-hole because he's late for his "peaceful" mosque convention (*sarcasm). So I decide to follow this guy (safe distance) for about 5-8 miles as he try's to change lanes and attempts to loose me. haha right!! He gets off the freeway and makes a few turns here and there and gets stuck at a traffic light. I follow and pull right up next to him, put my bike in neutral and kick stand down and proceed to yell my *** off at him thru the passenger window, telling him to get off the road and pull over. (I seriously don't have a short temper, but this seemed to set me off) I'm 6'2'' 215lbs and wearing my alpinestars padded jacket (probably looking like a big crazy mf), I had my full tinted visor down, I'm sure at this point he's probably now crapping his pants. He probably didn't understand a word I was saying because my helmet but I know he knew I wanted him to pull over so I could kick his ***. By this point I have processed to whole thing over and over in my head. As the light turns green he's still flipping me off and talking chit. I keep following him and he turns down a street where there happens to be about 5 cop cars pulled to the side of the road. He stops the car near the cops and I pull directly behind him. Of course the cops are kinda weirded out because all of a sudden they see this random *** junky car pulling next to them with these 2 characters and me on my bike closely behind. The cops immediately tell the car to pull over to the side of the road. 3 of the cops surround his car, (there have been many cop killings lately in San Diego) and tell the guy to get out of his car with his hands on his head. I pull off my helmet and explain to another cop what just took place. Cop was way cool and shaking his head and not believing what just happened. So by this point the cops put the driver in hand cuffs (not sure why) and put him in the back of a squad car. The arresting Officer came over and hears my side of the story and is obviously on my side. He tell's me they are running a background check on him and gonna do a field sobriety...He said he understood why I followed him since I didn't have access to a cell phone. He told me I'm free to leave and he is going to do everything in his power to cite the driver. He said we at least have a window tint violation on him so far haha. It was nice driving off and seeing that guy in the back of a cop car while I ride off into the sunset.
I don't recommend following a-hole drivers but I felt I had to do something. I hope this makes the driver respect motorcycle drivers a little bit more in the future...(I'm not sure respect is in his vocab) just sayin...

i had a guy in a ranger last weekend, like you on the highway cruising at 80, i see him creeping up, waits till he gets right on my tail to switch lanes, then cut me off switching back into my lane when the lane he switched into was open. im like really?? i kicked it down 2 and got next to him (passing my 2 friends i was riding with) and see this guy flicking me off for no reason. well, i wont detail what happened next, but i dont have something anymore that i did while i was riding, and all three of us took off to exit the situation

Happy for you the outcome was good Smoore but as you rightly point out ....tracking
down road rage cagers can be a losing battle and some law enforcement will interpret
a rider chasing a road rage cager as been equally road raged which can lead to both
parties getting cited.
At least justice prevailed for you with this one.
I tend to just let ragers in cages go and find someone else that actually gives a ****

Biggest annoyance is when people Tailgate me when i am on my bike, I mean SERIOUSLY!! My new thing is to give people thumbs up, MD drivers are the worst at driving or merging because NOBODY uses a turn signal EVER!!!!! So, instead of "flicking someone off" I just give them a "thumbs up" and I usually get the finger, even got a "hand to chin flick" last week.

Had a Redneck in a lifted truck yell at me Friday that he was going to "Run Me over" for wearing my Icon Army jacket and the Army sucks. I got out of it his brother is a Marine in Iraq doing 5 tours. Few dodges of other cars and lane splitting got that Hillbilly Hick off my ***. Damn Rednecks!

What does him being muslim have to do with anything? I could see you maybe mentioning it as a description in the story, but in the thread title? Come on, man. I'm editing it out of the title just to make sure there's no confusion about the intent.
On road rage.... I was just riding with a group the other weekend when we all got separated by a leadfoot in a huge truck.... pulling a trailer with a tractor on it. Woohoo!
At the next light, a guy in the other lane saw what happened and he held traffic so we could go around the big truck and re-enter our group. Awfully nice of him.
Big raging truck guy didn't like it and decided to honk his horn at me and flick me off while edging forward (about 3" from my tail)
Needless to say, I wanted to tear him out of his truck. We're just sitting at a light and he's acting like a total *** all because he didn't want me and my buddy getting in front of him? There was plenty of room.
I kept my cool because I have kiddos at home to worry about. But man... it pissed me off.
There's no reason for crap like that.

I had a car try to run me off the road the other day. The 2 lanes merged to one, I am in the right lane and well ahead of the car. The car speeds up to get next to me as her lane disappears. My wife is on the back of the bike screaming at the car driver through the open passenger window as I backhand the **** out of her passenger mirror. I don't think she ever saw us!
