Greeting other riders....rules or not?
I found this article where this guy describes "The secret Motorcycle Hand Greeting" and apparently there are rules as far as decidingwho to greet. Personally I dont discriminate riders who have a dif type of bike, probably because when I started riding other riders showed me the same respect. Moreover, I was taught that we are all part of a common "brother hood" and sould respect each other no matter what. Do you guys also greet other riders despite the differeces or do you believe inthose "laws of equity" ????
Also would u greet a cop who is riding a police bike? I just ran into one and wasn't sure...lol

I tell everyone to **** off equally, no disscrimination from me.
According to that article, I guess Ive dised a few people without even knowing it. With a pissed up left arm, I rested it on my leg quite a bit when cruising.
Otherwise its just the simple peace anyway, guess I understood the whole time

I wave to police bikes. They are bikers too, and typically share the passion for bikes as we do. I didnt know about the dis. Sometimes you have to wave high too, like if there is a median wall. Sometimes I wave with my right hand too if I just left from a red light or am slowing down with clutch disengaged.

The fact that he referred to our bikes as "rockets" made me just stop reading the article. Im so tired of people calling them crotch rockets, or my favorite, zippers. People tend to just look at them as toys rather than a means of transportation. ITS CALLED A SPORT BIKE
