I'm 20, single, and with a clean record. I agree, State Farm is great. They're one of the lowest prices I have ever received. Being at my age, it's hard to get a reasonable price. I called state farm today and they quoted me $729 for 6 months, but if I insure my car with them, the premium for full coverage would be reduced down to $212 for 6 months.

I called AAA and since I already have my family's policy with them (4 cars), they quoted me $498 for the year with: bodily injury-30/60/25; medical $5,000; comp & coll deductible: $500; uninsured & underinsured 15/30.

My State Farm agent said that they needed to insure a car to insure a bike. That's not a problem, considering they're still the cheapest insurance for my car too.

No problems with allstate, but they wouldn't write ANY sportbike, so thats why I was with Geico.
I have both of my 97 CBR 900 and my 06 1KR insured with Allstate. I pay $265/yr on the 900 and $1250/yr for the 1KR. I checked State Farm and they were about $200 cheaper per year on the 1KR but they were going to be $300 more on the 900. Allstate was considerably cheaper for my 2 cars and homeowners.

OK, I think we all can agree that insurance is a local thing, cause as mentioned with state farm, you have to insure a car to get a bike.....which was not the case with me. And as I mentioned, my allstate agent will not write any sportbike, but others here have said that they have thiers with Allstate. It's gotta be a regional or owner type thing.

You do not HAVE to insure a car to get your bike insured with State Farm. However, if you do, the premium will be cheaper.
