+1 on all the above, but there can be many other technical reasons why you can't corner at the same speed - suspension setup, tyre choice, tyre wear, tyre pressure, etc.
Keith Code started the California Suberbike school and wrote a book called "a twist of the wrist" - I'll send you a link to download it if you like - plenty of good solid tips from a guy who's been there.......

I know a lot of people (specially young guys) think its lame, but when we get a group like that for twistys you have to try and setup ahead of time. Let the good riders go first so you know your not slowing them down. Then explain to everyone, (yes sometimes it just has to be said outloud) to ride your own pace, and when we get out of the turns the leaders will stop and wait to regroup. I know it may sound lame, but its good to know you wont get left behind, or get in others way. Then everyone can ride their ride and enjoy it.
I couldnt agree more. and you need to know the roads and ride them again and again to memorize the turns so you know what to expect.

i think my main problem is ive never really ridin with anyone i always ride bymyself and never taken corners too fast and now i have started i want to learn the right way and not get killed because if a car would have been coming i might not be typing right now kinda scary. but i want to lean off my bike like that but just scared to go to far and mess my whole world up
