I am in the military and got pulled over on base for having my visor up!!! Come On!!! The max speed limit was 20 and the distance to my office from the gate was less than a 1/4 mile.

They actually chased me down and got me as I was parking. They threw their lights on just to tell me to put my visor down. What makes it worse is that before they looked at my ID card they kept referring to me as "Young Man". Like that really matters!!!!

Oh by the way I wear WILEX glasses when I ride... So I had a form of eye protection on...

Come on ticket for visor up?? WTF!!!!

they tend to do that when they really wanna get ya for something, i heard of that happening to a lot of people, but they shouldn't be able to get ya if you have eye protection, but i dunno.

You have laws where you live requiring your visor is down? thats gay. I ride around town with mine open ALL the time. Once speeds pick up or im on the highway its down though. (or at night when its buggy)

a few points...im with the sexist vote...(not meant to be offensive) but it proabaly was a 10 fold on you being female..cant complain i guess. and also, about the glasses, most glasses are not shatter resistant(only some like oakleys), so that is probably why they made a deal about it, but i didnt really know any states had a visor law, as opposed to a helmet law? so the hoggers have to wear visors on their skull caps too, or what is the deal with that?

Hands on the tank, keys out of ignition onto the ground, German Sheperds, can't ride with the visor up. Holy ****!
I'd have to be riding nude on a stolen bike with a rocket launcher strapped on to back seat, to go any where near that.
Worse case scenario for us is, "Please remove your helmet".
But I guess maybe our cops are a bit more punitive. My riding buddy got radared on Monday doing 100kph (60 mph) in a 50klm zone, instant loss of license for 3 months, $1600 fine, plus a loss of 6 points (12 points maxium over a 3 year period, lose license for 12 months), depends on wot you do to rack em up, ie: exceed speed by less than 15klm =2 points). And they usually go over your bike with a fine tooth comb.

lol i was pulled over only twice in the past 3 years or so, both times by the same guy. first time i was in my car, maybe going 40 in a 25, 2nt time was very recently, and on my bike, maybe 70 or so (he said 55) in a 45. both times he asked for my liscense and insurance and all that mess, then he looked at it, and it looked like he was almost in pain as he was thinking about writing a ticket. and both times this is what i got. "just slow down and be careful son" haha, i love this guy, anyone else would write a 20 year old guy on a shiny new sportbike the most expensive tickets they could think of, but not this fella. its real common out here for some people to ride their buddy's bike, with no endorsement, sometimes no insurance, so usually if you have all of your paperwork in order, they will be pretty personable towards you.
