(Game Consoles) Motogp 09 / 10?
Anyone ever play any of the previous versions? Planning on getting this in March? Thoughts, comments, opinions?
COD: MW2 and DA:O are eating my console time right now (since the weather says "No Motorcycles"). Wondering if it'd be worth adding to the collection on the wall. Burnout Paradise and Midnight Club: LA are getting kinda stale and don't really have much bike racing.

I'm not too impressed with the games, actually. It's a really hard thing to recreate motorcycle racing to any realistic degree. At least with autoracing simulations (iRacing, Live for Speed, rFactor, etc.) you have a steering wheel and clutch, gas pedal, brake available, which are the major inputs for a car. There's no way to make riding a bike into a useable controller...you'd need something that has weight, that can lean (but is harder to lean the faster you're goin), that counter-steers once you get to a certain speed, etc. There's just no good way to do it.
So, the games always felt arcadey and nothing like riding a bike, at least to me. I stick with driving sims. If you don't care about realism then they might be worth a go, though.

I'm not huge on 'sim' games. If I want realism, I'll go outside and play
Hence the reason why I got Midnight Club (near indestructible cars) and Burnout Paradise (seriously, realistism in there would be painting the highway blood red). I'm cool with it not being hyper-realistic, as others pointed out it's near impossible to simulate riding a motorcycle (next Wii control: a motorcycle seat with handlebars?). I'm more into how well it'll handle online play and the customizing modes.
