Frozen Margarita recipeis.... How do YOU mix em?
I'm kinda new to making my own mixed drinks. I made some kick *** margaritas last year while I was at the coast fishing. I was thinking of trying it out again here around the house.
My first try was a Google search which turned out damn good. Here is what I came up with....
* 1 cup of ice
* 1 1/2 oz tequila
* 1/2 oz Triple Sec
* 1/2 oz lime juice
* 3 oz sour mix......in this case, I used "Sauza" premium margarita mix.
1. Pour the ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. If desired, salt the rim of a chilled margarita glass.
4. Pour contents into the glass.
5. Garnish with the lime wedge.
Seems like I had to fine tune the measurements a little to make it right, but I don't remember what I did.
I was just wondering if you guys have some other margarita mixes......or what I could add to this one.
Thanks for your thoughts,
Joe

Kokamo,
Do yourself a favor, and neverblend a margarita.Make it "over"and call it a day. Also, use good tequila. "Gold" is not a very good tequila in my opinion. I would useSauza atthe minimum. As the others have said, a shot of straight tequila is best. Here is my recipe:
Chill a shot of Patron tequila. It is so good, there is no need to add training wheels (it would be like putting steak sauce on a Porter House). After you drink that, have a nice pint of Mirror Pond in hand (Deshutes Brewing)to sip between shots. Yummy!
Maybe make some mudslides or grasshoppers...they are not blended always, but areway tasty. Here's a couple recipes that look like fun:
Grasshopper
Mudslide
