Default First Ride in 4 Weeks

About damn time is all I can say. The last 4 weeks here we've had lots of rain, then freezing rain leaving a nice coating of ice on everything, then last week we had about 8-10" of snow. Then waited for a big rain to wash off road salt, which we got several days ago.
Was about 35 here today, which is about my limit for winter riding due to the possiblibity of left over ice. Wore my cold weather gear and had a decent time. Saw two other riders out today...they must have been thinking the same as me. One was a kawi 250 and the other was a GSXR-750, about a 2002 or so. Most gear I've ever seen on a Suzi rider, but only because it was cold hahaha.
Lots of visor fogging on the X-11, but I'm expecting a FOGGY neoprene insert from santa.

I rode a bike today too, wasn't mine, I went and looked at 00 929, drove it, loved it, hopefully will be picking it up on Wed or Thursday, cause the banks were closed today and tomorrow[:@]. I guess I have to put my 900rr for sale[]

It's been four or five days for me, and i'm already having withdrawals. Probably won't have the opportunity to ride tomorrow, either. being christmas day and all.

Sometimes when i goa few days without riding, I'll take it "around the block," just because i feel like i'll forget how to ride or something if i don't.

I get the itch after 4-6 hours. Sometimes I find myself in the garage making those imaginary noises like the bike is sitting there running. I feel like such a dork when I realize that I am just standing there staring at my bike daydreaming about the next ride.

Today marks the 2 month mark for me since my knee surgery. Sucks.

I have to ride everyday. Otherwise I'll go insane. (Maybe I am already there)

I went for a ride yesterday, too. It was Christmas Eve, and I had so much to do. I spent about five hours in that rediculous Christmas Eve frenzy finishing my purchases (everything I wanted to get was sold out [:@]), buyinggroceries for my au gratin potatoes, cooking, wrapping, etc. The day was cold, but the sun was out, and I got about a twenty minute ride tofix my nerves and clear my mind. It was absolutely spiritual. Times like those make me realize that riding transcends nearly everything. Zen at its finest...

I have not been on the bike in about a month and it sucks. I was going to ride to Christmas lunch yesterday, but was running late and did not have time to get geared up and still make it in time then by the time lunch was over it was getting way colder soI just said F**k it!
