Hey all just wanted to say i finally did my first long distance road trip on the f4i. I left harrisburg pa and road with my buddy all the way to ocean city md. It was just a quick overnight thing. It was a ton of fun. I was pretty sore by the time i got home on monday but otherwise it was still a ton of fun.

Congrats on a good and safe trip! That's over a 300 mile round trip if I'm not mistaken (I live about an hour north of Harrisburg). That's not too shabby for your first one. That's a nice pic of your bike by the beach too.

Just did mine from Chicago to Bloomington, about 300 miles. Had a lambskin seat cover made, and stuffed the tank bag with clothes and it was GREAT. Wasn't sore at all!

 

That sounds like you had a great ride ... I am still building up to 300 miles,
I have done 220 in one day but I want to do 320 in one day as that will get me to
Pembrokeshire and back :-)

Ride down the pain wasnt to bad actually. We took a break about every 100 miles to stretch and top off. Monday when we headed home after cruising the strip for awhile, it hurt alot more cause we had been on the bikes all day but i never once thought i should have driven the jeep instead lol. It was sweet. Gonna do it again in august.

 

GREAT to hear! We need more road trip sporties out there to break the stigma. Hope I see you on the road one day.
