The sad thing is, I've done that to my car before... hey, black car, black sharpie... what's the difference?
(this also works well on black wheels for about a week, then it starts fading... "curb marks? what curb marks? [8D])

Thats what they use anyway. I work with carbon fiber daily (making tanks, not car/bike parts) its just a two part epoxy. I guess theyprobably use some sort of laquer to put it on that thick, butas long as its smooth in the end, it'd work just fine.
