They wont let you into bars at 18?

 

Since the bars are within walking distance, make sure you have a DW (Designated Walker). I had one while I was in training for the AF and saved my *** several times.

 

+1 Vood's right. If your friends let you pay for a single drink, ditch those cheap bastards and find some new friends. After your B-Day, pitchers of beerare the most cost effective way to go out.

That being said...I'm sureglad that part of my life is over and I survived.

Actually i dont know aobut the rest of the country, but around here when you turn 21 drinks are on the house all nite for the birthday person. Here you will get 1 glass with a lot of lights in the bottom, andyou can refill it all you want with whatever you want.

When going out after your Birthday, hit up happy hours, drink beers, stay away from shots, order pitchers or schooners, find out where the deals are.

Monday Night Football Specials, Tecate Tuesdays, whiskey Wednesdays, Sunday Fundays......Just a few days of my week.

The hole in the wall bars have cheap drinks. I go to a local bar and drink pints of pabst Blue Ribbon for 2.25 a glass.

 

The way we've always done it is birthday boy buys first round, after that everyone throws drinks in his face all night.

 

Cheapest way i to drink at the bar is definately pitchers.. Pitchers of shots are alsoa good way to go.. They wont sell just 1 person a pitcher of shots so i always pretend its for me and a buddy then just drink all of it.. Pitchers of shots around my area are about 13 dollars but when there is a special they are about 9. Mixed shots wont kill you so its pretty easy to drink the whole pitcher, or even 2.. Have fun and be safe. Be sure you have a ride home or a safe way home.

 

Another thing to keep in mind is the bartender will probably buy you a drink when you show them your DL. If the bar doesn't buy you one, scream at them..."You are a punk, and your bar is a punk!"

Also, I think you get a free meal at Denny's. Denny's rules when you are all **** faced with your friends, but you better tip good, you little bastid! My friends and I used to hang out there as teens when they had a smoking section. We would drink gallons of coffee, smoke, and be pissed at our dads.

P.S. Tip the bartenders, too. I married a bartender from my favorite bar. Now I give her a different kind of tip.
