He wasnt really a close friend but I rode with him a couple times. Last wednesday he was cut off by a car. Instead of hitting it he dumped the bike losing his helmet and hitting his head. He didnt have it buckled. Today he went in for surgery and didn't make it out. He left behind a young daughter and he was only 22. He would probably still be here if he wore his gear properly. I know everybody on this site seems to be very mature about riding but I just wanted to let everybody know. Please be careful and always where your gear.

 

Man sorry to hear that, yeah you definitely gotta wear it and wear it properly. That really sucks........ young and had the family too..........

 

Wow, I hate to hear stuff like this. Sounds like the difference between him living or not was the simple buckle on the helmet. How sad for his family.

Doesn't really make sense to even where a helmet if it isn't buckled. Sad news.
