Fellow CBR'r in my town died...
...ESCONDIDO — A 53-year-old motorcyclist died after a solo crash on his motorcycle Sunday morning in Escondido, authorities said.
The Carlsbad resident was riding his CBR900 sports bike east on Harmony Grove Road about a quarter-mile east of Country Club Drive when he took a left turn and lost control of his motorcycle. His bike slid across the road before he fell down a 30-foot dirt embankment, California Highway Patrol Sgt. Uwe Dorendorf said.
The man was riding with a fellow motorcyclist who witnessed the accident, Dorendorf said.
The man died from severe head trauma.
No further information was available Sunday evening.

Doesn't sound like he took that hard of a hit, Any news on if he was wearing a helmet or not?
regardless, Its always sad to hear of a riding passing on. I've lost a good friend of mine this year do to a crash. It was his fault, he was a bit tipsy and was riding (big no, no) and VERY high speed. Reports from cars that seen him said he was making them look like they where sitting still on the interstate.
