Feeling after a day of riding...
After a day ride I'm usually pretty pumped (for me), no good talking to my wife about the ride, she is just not interested, so I grab a beer & start getting the crud off my bike, see if anything fell off or broke & by then I've usually calmed down. One of the funnest things that I've witnessed is being with a group of say 300 + on a weekend (although the number isn't important) group ride. Reaching the destination & hitting the pub for a drink (or 2) & a meal. You have all these hyped up people all talking at once about the ride, speed, near misses & mechanical problems & most of all, everyone wanting to tell anyone who will listen how great their bike is or what they are going to buy next. We all get loud, very animated (& usually a bit drunk).
And only 1 bloody dunny.

I take it slow going home just to try and make my time on my bike longer. When I get home I take my gear off and hang it on the back of the chair and my helmet sits on the kitchen counter. I ride every day so I never put my gear "away". I grab some room tempature water and go back outside to stare at my bike. I have been riding for may years but it still nearly brings tears of joy to my eyes. I almost always ride alone so there is no one to talk to about what a wonderful ride I had, good thing is my bike is a great listener and he doens't laugh when I sit on him and make engine nosies.
Gotta say, LG, he may not laugh, but I just did. ;-)
As far as the post-ride buzz, the only twisties in Tulsa, Ok are out in the boonies.
On the way home, I'm usually running an evaluation of my performance in my head.
When I get home, I park it and then pace around the house for awhile, shaking off
the jazz. To help with that, I head out to the "hippy shack", my gazebo out back, cop
a buzz and then come in and read about everyone else's adventures, here on the forums.
