RE: Favorite Computer Tips
Ever need to prove something happened on the internet?
Press Print Screen
Open MS Paint
Press Control+P (paste)
Cut and paste as necessary to get rid of excess image
= Print screen for dummies!
Also here's a good one if you're having a tough time reading something
Press and hold control + the + or - key (next to backspace) to increase or decrease font size quickly. You can also hold control and roll the scroll wheel on your mouse (if you have one) to do the same trick.
Even better for those heard of seeing,
Go to Start --> Run --> Magnify and presto... you you a huge magnifying glass at the top of the screen.
Advice below is only for people with very intimate knowledge of computer software.
Ever wanted to turn off those annoying programs that turn on ever time you turn on your computer?
NOTE: DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU SCREW UP YOUR COMPUTER HERE... DON'T JUST GO CLICKING AROUND ... IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SOMETHING IS, THEN DON'T TOUCH IT!
Start-->Run-->Msconfig then click the startup tab and uncheck any program you regognize and don't want to turn on every time you start up. If you screw up and turn something off that's not supposed to be off, you could be F-ED so don't come to me if your computer doesn't turn on tomorrow.

Bromance!? Aha ahaha ahahahahahaaaa!!! Oh my god dude....people say all the time how they roll on the floor, laughing their asses off...I never knew it could actually physically happen...
And, erm, my favorite tool for posting is using Firefox's tabbed browsing--switching back and forth between CBRF, photobucket, language dictionaries, gay pr0n, whatever--really facilitates the quality of my crappy posts...

Some programs that have been useful for me lately when I am at work and want something from the computer at home:
FolderShare Access your files at home from work.
LogMeIn Access and control your computer from another computer.
LogMeIn is great for working on your computer from another computer (i.e. SpiritRR gets to work and realizes he left his gay pr0n up on his home computer and wants to close it before anyone else gets home)
Foldershare is great for downloading files from your home computer to a computer you are at (i.e. your at work and forgot an important word document at home on your computer)
Both of these programs are free and both will work on Mac or PC.

When in Internet Explorer (6.5 or higher) in the address bar you can just clear everything out and type in the "gm" part of www.gm.com and press Ctrl-Enter and it will fill in the .com">http://www.<gm>.com part - That one I use all the time.

FYI- 'ctrl+enter' it also works with otherbrowsers (Opera, Firefox, etc)
