You see many more smaller CC bikes in Europe such as a 400. In Europe they have HP restrictions for certain licenses. You can't just go out and get a "Gixxer" 1000 for your first bike. You have to start out with a smaller cc like 125cc motorcycle and move up. You can get a litre bike but they restrict it.

I was on a Yamaha Forum that was based in Europe. People would leave threads "Alright I get my restrictor plate off my FZ6 or R1 Today". Kind of funny and probably a very good thing too.
