I feel sorry for Rodgers, no matter what he does (less by some miracle he wins the superbowl) it wont be as good as Favre. I live in Green Bay (hate the packers) and this poor kid is gonna get chewed up.

 

The Packers already picked up two free-agent quarterbacks, plus they have Aaron Rodgers and Craig Nall. I personally am confident they'll start Rodgers.

I'm not all crazy emo like the rest of this silly state, but I'll miss Favre. He's the only quarterback I can remember the Packers ever having (I'm 22), so it'll be different. But his performance has been hurting, and you can only blame the rest of the team so much. I hope everything goes well for him, and I look forward to watching the youngest team in the NFL grow up.

I like football regardless of how well the Packers do, anyway. So go NFL!

i have to admit two years ago, watching the bears defense repeatedly punish him with brutal hits was just the highlight of my year....my only regret with him retiring is the fact that he won't get enough payback from the bears for all the years of torment he caused us....

As far as I'm concerned, Favre is one of the best players and arguably the best QB of all time. He goes out on his own terms and holds all the major passing records. 235 CONSECUTIVE starts in the NFL....17 YEARS IN A ROW W/O MISSING A GAME??!!?? Need I say more? Well, here's more...ONLY NFL 3x time MVP, three years in a row. He'll never be washed up. HE IS THE MAN!

I am a Patriots fan, but I love Favre. He has been my favorite player since I can remember. He broke every single one of Sterling Sharpe's fingers with the ball. The Monday night game after his Dad died. Playing thru his wife's breast cancer battle and the death of a relative on his property on a quad. He has been the QB of the Packers since I was 13. This is a sad day for the NFL.

I NOW HATE THE F-IN GIANTS MORE THAN ANYTHING NOW!!! NOT ONLY DID THEY WIN THE SUPER BOWL AND NOT LET THE PATS GO 19-0 TO ACHEIVE "BEST TEAM EVER" STATUS, BUT NOW THEY MADE BRETT FAVRE RETIRE!!! ********!! TOM COUGHLIN SHOULD CATCH A TRAIN WITH HIS FACE!!

And that's how I feel about that. Damn, I'm kinda wound up today.

 

hats off to favre, he was an incredible QB, that being said, the Bears STILL suck.
