I like to have a really loud bike. and i cant find a pipe loud enough. do you even need exhaust on a cbr or can you run strait pipes? my buddy has a 750 gsxr and it seems to be fine with no exhaust. any one help me out

I did it for about a 20 minute ride... All i can say is dont do it, you lose all your bottom end, you will annoy the hell outta everyone i was told i could be heard from miles away. and lastly you will start to burn valves and plugs.

Also if you want a loud exhaust look at D and D that should be plenty loud

 

Maybe try a race only type silencer that you can remove the packing. From there you can adjust how annoying you want to be and maybe still keep enough backpressure to avoid some of the downfalls.

I got a better idea...sell the Honda and buy a rattle trap Hardley with straight pipes....

straight pipes could potentially burn valves but I just dont see it happening. our exhaust are already pretty much straight pipes. just try to keep the pipe as long as possible.
