I spent some time in robinsville NC when i was younger, its where i learned how to ride, as any one been on that road recantly? i'm heading to my dads house the begining of april ( or about) and i'm dying to hit it up.

 

we are going in may, hope to have another great trip like last year. i had the time of my life on that little strech of road on 129...

 

It is some of the most intense and concentrated riding I have done for being 11 miles. A real blast.

 

Average speed during those 11 miles? Just wonderin..

 

It was kinda intense for me the first time thru but i had ridden 10 hrs to get there..but i loved it.It was crowded the weekend i was there (Memorial Day) but well worth the trip..i stayed in Robbinsville at the Phillips Motel..she was the kindest woman i think ive ever met.Its a life event the Tail is...

I heard that the record is 9 mins,,tip to tail..

 

GAH! I'm going this year no matter what!!!!!!! I don't care if my other grandpa dies, BOTH my wheels are on backwards, my arm falls off, my house burns down.... NOTHING is stopping me other than my own death from going to the dragon this year!!!!!!! Now I just have to decide on a time to go. Anyone know what the best time is? I know during the week so I think I'm going to take a week off of work and hit up there maybe go some other places too I'm not really sure yet but what's a good season where it isn't too hot?
