Default Do they have those helmet mohawks here?

In japan i'd always see riders with these mohawks on their helmet. Do they have these in the US?

not the ones that look like hair.. they were more like sonic the hedgehog, plastic mohawk/spike things.Anyone know what im talking about?

Yeah they're around. However, unless you can ride your bike like the wind blows - you're gonna look like a douche.

And actually, even if you can toss your bike around like a pro - it's too fine a line to skate!

I see em all the time... there's a shoei for sale in the "for sale" section on this site that has one on it actually... I agree with crenshaw they're not too great.

The "hair" mohaks look pretty cool, (that picture of the soldier wearing it on his Kevlar in Iraq is priceless!) It looks like the kind of thing D1GP drivers would wear./ But at the same time aluding to the Helmets the Spartan soldiers would wear in ancient greece. (both very cool connotations IMO) but I can't help but think that the spikes on the other types will dig through the helmet (and your skull) in case you auger in on the bike at any significant ammount of speed.

Who cares if other riders post saying they don't like them? If you do, then I hope people will answer the original question. Cyclegear.com has mohawks and they carry them in their stores as well. Too bad people have to skate around the topic of the thread just to add an opinion that no one wanted in the first place.

Can't find it on Cyclegear.com. Only the Ironhorse ones. I still want to see the "sonic the Hedehog style" ones, sounds interesting...
