A different kind of track day
So I was fortunate enough to be invited to drive at Talladega today. It was a pretty awesome experience. 1st we rode with a driver for five laps. Then we got to drive by ourselves. I had an instructor up in the crows nest telling me where to be on the track. I must say those 33° banked corners can be a little intimidating at first. The better you get, the more the instructor raises you rev limitor. It felt like I no more got into the groove and the session was over. It was a blast. Top speed was 159.86 mph. I can't wait to do it again.
Unfortunately, no. The people that I knew and would trust to keep my phone and take pictures were out on the track the same time I was. They had this deal where you could buy pictures, but I wasn't shelling out close to 100 bucks for that.
Yea, my wife is getting sick of hearing about it.
Some people lose thier forutunes to gambling, some to loose women, some to drugs.
If I did have a fortune, I'm pretty sure I would lose it by driving around a track at pay per lap high speeds.
