my wedding was uber cheap. I think i spent a total of 300 dollars. LOl didnt rent tuxedos didnt have best men or brides maid then wife now ex wife had already bought a wedding dress off ebay. bought cheesecakes as a wedding cake had food prepared by friends and decorations donated to us. Had a preacher wed us( a friend I knew helped out on that part) and very very very simple. The thing that cost us the most was our honeymoon. We went to san diego for our anniversary. Then our second honeymoon my now ex in laws paid for us to go on a alaskan cruise for 7 days.

First and foremost please tell me you are older than 26....... Speaking from a man that got married early (19), if you are not pushing your late 20's......wait.....

Wedding here:

Honeymoon here:

You can do a Barn wedding and not spend much to dress a barn up and make it look good and the plus side is you can't fit a **** ton of people in a barn. Then after go to Bora Bora with the money you saved.

That barn looks so awesome.....

Oh and 300$... sounds like herbcbr1000f did it right.

My bf is always asking when he can marry me... I figure maybe next summer.. I dunno if I should start planning now or what. I don't really have any extended family at all... Just my mom, my dad, my 2 brothers, and a few friends, a few co-workers. I don't want to go in debt to get married and I don't think my parents can really afford to help me with it... So I dunno if we wanna do the destination thing too.. Or do something small and local and see about which halls might let us bring some food... Or get hitched up in MI.. Hmmmm. (I dunno about their goofy laws up there. But whatever. That's another rant for another time.)

Russel it's funny you mention a barn because I think we might go look at one next weekend if we choose to do a wedding here in IL. We are researching some places in FL. She really wants to get married on a beach and I am A Okay with that! I'll let you know what we find out on if it is cheaper than a traditional wedding.

R Dub You answer was no Answered completely.. Actually not at all...

Destination Wedding ..

A Destination wedding is great if you want an Intimate Small Wedding. Usually you have no more then 50 Guest.. That includes your Best man And Maid of Honor.. It can Be Expensive and it can be "cheap" (I quote because anything were you travel is not cheap) And Most places, I.E. Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico, Spain. ETC. Have Packaged deals. Where.. You fly in.. Stay a night.. Wedding is next day or the Day after.. And you stay at your destination for your honeymoon... SO Roughly (Estimate everything is different) You go to the Bahamas, have your wedding.. And stay and Extra 4-5 Days.. And it is all covered in the cost.. Some places have Packaged Deals.. Ive seen some as cheap as 850$ for a 2-8 Person Guest list... and Then $10,000 For up to 50 Guest. But then you have to look at the Package deals.. Some Offer Photographer some dont.. Most offer a Bridal Bouquet and a Groom Boutonniere.. The Best thing to do if you want to do a destination Wedding Is to sit down with a Wedding Planner.. And go over the Different Options you have...

I think a destination wedding is better in the sense that You can have your honeymoon combined with the wedding and you save a little extra money there.. But then also not Everyone Can Go To the places you pick... SO its all about how you plan it.. And Its Ultimately up to You Guys on what you want to do.

You Can Make it Cheaper than a "traditional" Wedding.. But if you go over the top then yeah it would be more expensive...
