Default the definition of riding.

So i know that riding is different for very one. I have always looked at it like there are 2 types of riders 1 the real one's and 2 the weekend warriors. we all know the weekend ones when we see um, so i was talking with a friend who drops " riding isn't just about riding its 50% the bike and 50% how you look on it!" what the f*$k is that? i know i ride just cuz i love to ride, yeah i take care of my bike, but i really don't care to sit downtown at the local bar on my bike every weekend just to be seen, when i could be riding it. am i alone here?
