A lot of people (usually non-riders and squids) use the term "crotch rocket" when describing a Sportbike. Personally, I hate this phrase. I think it sounds ridiculous. It actually sounds like a slang term for some STD (like "the clap" is to gonorrhea). Anyway, I think it makes the speaker sound like an idiot. "Hey, that your crotch rocket Greek?" Dip****. Am I alone on this one?

no your not alone. i use the term every so often when talking to peoplewho are not familiar with bikes. my soldiers ask me about bikes all the time. they want to get one when we get back from iraq. when they say it i just say it back to keep the confusion down.

I never thought about it being annoying, but crotch rocket, rice rocket, all work for me. Never heard suicide bike before, maybe I wasn't paying attention. I guess I really don't give a **** about what people say.

My dear mother, (being in the medical field) refers to all motocycles as donorcycles. I just laugh and and say "they sure are mum, that's why I sign my donors card"
