"Crotch Rocket"
^^ Thats a new one to me.. I call it sportbike, but in conversation I call it the 600rr.. Doesnt matter how people bring it up to me but crotch rocket is definitely something a little more private to me.
Hey, that's cool to know. I can tell people it's a "supersport" now.
all 600's are supersports, 750s n up are are superbikes per their AMA racing status now or in the past.
yea thats cause v-twins need twice the displacement to just keep a 600 in sight lol
ugh.... from my understanding from my own racing experience through WERA:
superstock: completely stock engine
supersport: stock engine with slight modifications, such as jetting (differs from organization to organization, i.e. WERA, CCS, AMA, ....)
superbike: def. NOT a stock engine, borring the block, etc.... whatever they do to it to gain hp
Superstock bikes and Supersport bikes both run in the Superstock races, while Superbikes run in the Superbike races, although superstock and supersport bikes can run in the superbike class as well (if the rider choses to), the reason being is that their at a disadvantage (down hp)
back on topic, i say sport bike to people who know about motorcycles and crotch rocket to people who dont.

reminds me of when my aunt saw my bike and said, 'whos murdercycle is that?'
Wow, that would **** me off. I saw a friend a few months ago that I hadn't seen since college and the first thing she says is, " oh, you're still alive!" (referring to my bike) Wow, great to see you too...
