What are your feelings \ responses to this classic term? I hear it a LOT, even in a positive light. Honestly, I don't liek "sport bike" any better, but whaddaya gonna do?

 

I find it's usually used in the derogatory sense, but it doesn't bother me too much.

If say say sportbike a lot of peoples eye mist over but as soon as you say crotch rocket they know you pull whoolie's and wear flip flops. It's like a dog getting hungry just hearing the bell.

I don't mind, imo sportbike sounds better, but the word rocket makes just about anything "cool".

 

I would rather they call it a crotch rocket than a "Ninja" like I hear a lot. That drives me nuts.

 

I don't use the term crotch rocket but out here it seems like that is the only phrase they know for a sport bike. People ask me what bike I have... I tell them I have a 95 cbr900rr... and they say oh... so you have a crotch rocket... and I say no I have a 95 cbr900rr

 

I don't mind crotch rocket... what i freaking HATE is crash rocket..

it's like if there trying too ill will you or something
