He prob would have just scolded you,but the whole pulling into the median thing really pisses them offf. Never go to the median unless your broke down and cann't make it to the shoulder. I am flat out amazed you didn't get a ticket just for that. As for headphones, like a car stereo just keep the volume low enough you can hear your sourrondings. You cann't hear much on the highway anyway

 

Not in some cars!!! And the only thing that makes a bangin' system illegal is "noise pollution" - the general population doesn't want theirfine china dinnerware vibrating off the shelves in their house... it has nothing to do withthe fact that the driver can't hear their surroundings.

I dunno about you guys, but I can barely hear anything while wearing my helmetanyway.So if its illegal to have your ears cover when wouldn't that make our helmets illegal as well?

 

Your helmet doesnt fit right then, a good one hardly restricts hearing at all.

 

I would've just said "I thought it was okay to listen to music cuz def people can drive too so this is pretty much the same thing"

 

I got pulled over the other night, got a speeding ticket and a fine for not havng my bike inspected. He didn't say a thing about my Ipod, I still had the earphones in when I was talkin to him. The guy was a dick though. $318.00. Lame.

in some crazy parts of the country you actually have to have your bike inspected for it to be legal to ride on public roads.. glad i dont have to do that here in cali

 

That really does suck man but look at it this way, it could've been a whole lot worse! I used to listen to my iPod while riding but 1)If Slipknot, Pantera or one of those kinda groups started playing, I'd find myself doing waaay over the speed limit 2)Like another member on here once said, I'd rather listen to the sweet sound of my RS-5. BTW, they do make Bluetooth helmets as well as Bluetooth "adapters" to "connect" ANY mp3 player/earphone setup.
