Wow I did not need to hear that.. that is absolutely terrible... even if they were speeding.. no one stayed behind? At first I thought it was just two riders til I read on and found out that it was a whole group that abandoned him.

What kind of people would do this? The same kind of people that do that crap to begin with. Just another reason I hate the top speed/mad stunna/run from the popo threads.

That sucks. Here is another example of speed kills. I was on duty and had to attend this one. Kinda messy. Just slow down.

An accident involving two motorcycles that occurred in Tecumseh late Saturday night claimed the life of a 41-year-old Essex man after his fellow rider attempted to avoid an animal that darted in front of the pair, causing the fatal collision. The victim was riding on his 1996 Harley Davidson alongside his female partner, 40, just after 11 p.m. southbound on the 9th Concession. As the pair approached the Highway 401 overpass, the female rider, operating her 2007 Ducati 695, attempted to brake and veer when an unknown animal jumped out on to the road in front of her, according to Police.

The victim also braked, but struck the Ducati from behind, knocking both drivers off their motorcycles. Both bikes came to rest on the west shoulder of the road. While the female rider ended up falling to the road, the collision caused the victim to be thrown into the west side guard rail. He was pronounced dead at the scene."Both had helmets on, but because of impact of hitting the guard rail, it unfortunately killed him on impact," Police. The female rider, was transported to Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital with moderate, but non-life-threatening injuries and was later released. No charges will be laid in the accident. Both riders were fully licensed to ride motorcycles, she said, although she could not speak to the amount of their experience.
