College stole my bike.

$3580 due for the first half of the semester.
I think I paid about $4500/yr. to go to a state school. (commuting, though..)
Financial aid is your friend, too. I think I'll be paying $115/month for the rest of my life, though... lol..
I consolidated and locked my interest at 3%, and then I got another 1% taken off for doing direct debit payments for 60 consecutive months. Not too bad.
Just some thoughts....

I might get flamed for this, but college is well worth it in the long run. I am actually going back to college this semester for my 4th degree. If I didn't have any of them when I applied for my current job I would have been laughed at, but hey I would have had my bike. Now though I can buy a lot of bikes. (and that isn't bad I am going for a BA in network security this time around, and mine is 15k a year not including books.)
On a side note, there is always student loans, financial aid, and scholarships, and some jobs offer payment programs if it is in their scope of work.

I took loans out with the intentions of consolidating them. Well due to current economic conditions... no one is giving consolidation loans. Since I have a job, my lender will not lower my $1500 a month payment which I am defaulting on. I had to sell my bike to my brother for a $1 to keep it away from the repo man. So, college almost stole my bike.
