Wouldn't even think off riding without 1. Don't know why people would. Even when i was young and dumb, i still valued my life enough to have the M endorse before actually riding. Maybe thats just me. But if i didn't take MSF class i probably would have never known that you couldn't brake and turn at the same time. Never in a million years. Was busy focusingon L hand clutch, R hand (f) brake, L foot shift, R foot (r) brake that i could have laid it down at all 4 corners going around the blockand not figure out how i did it. So yea be careful and know who you ride with because nearly 40% have no endorse or permit. Thats the stats i heard out here in cali, kinda makes sense since weather is riding weather all year round. Just be careful and choose your riders carefully!

This is also a reason we are subject to vehicluar profiling; the lack of riders with insurance and license endorsements. I have classes C (standard) and M (duh).

I received my endorsement the very day I passed the driving test in my MSF class.

Don't know the type or class of license that I have, but I have the "W" Endorsement...........which stands for the motorcycle endorsement for some reason. New Mexico is pretty retarded when they do stuff like this.

The way it worked for me was, I completed the course, and was given a free pass to walk into the DMV and get my endorsement without a written or riding test. I think you should do the same...I learned things that I wouldn't have know otherwise...and I didn't have to do the practical skills test which would have been difficult to do on my bike...I've heard it is a pain in the nether regions in my state (Oregon).
